If you have noticed a discrepancy between membership counts in iKizmet and ClubReady, this article explains why those differences occur and what factors contribute to them. Because iKizmet and ClubReady use different logic to define and count members, it is expected that the numbers will not always match.
Before You Begin
- This article applies to brands using the iKizmet Membership logic. If your brand is not using this logic, your membership counts may behave differently.
- iKizmet also offers the option to run membership counts by either the membership start date or the sale date. Learn more here.
How ClubReady Defines a Member
In ClubReady, a client is considered a member when they have a future date listed in the Membership Expires Date field. This date is not tied to a specific agreement or package and can be manually edited; meaning a client without an agreement or invoice can still be granted member status in ClubReady. Membership status in ClubReady starts on the agreement sale date.
How iKizmet Defines a Member
iKizmet uses a more structured set of criteria to determine membership status. When using the iKizmet membership logic, both of the following conditions must be met for a client to be counted as a member:
| Criteria | Description |
|---|---|
| Membership Level Agreement | The client must have an active membership level agreement. Without an agreement, they will not be counted as a member. |
| Initial Invoice Within 60 Days | There must be an initial invoice — either past or future — attached to the agreement within the next 60 days. Without an invoice, they will not be counted as a member. |
Additionally, iKizmet membership status begins on the agreement start date, regardless of when the sale occurred; which differs from ClubReady's sale date-based logic.
Additional Factors That Can Cause Count Differences
Beyond the core membership definitions, the following factors can further contribute to discrepancies between iKizmet and ClubReady membership counts:
- Frozen Members: iKizmet has a setting to either include or exclude frozen members from the total membership count. Depending on how this is configured, frozen members may or may not appear in your iKizmet total.
- Data Mapping: iKizmet gives brands the ability to data map, which allows specific packages that would normally count as a membership in ClubReady to be excluded from iKizmet's count. This is a common source of discrepancy between the two systems.
Why the Numbers Will Not Match
Because ClubReady and iKizmet use different definitions for membership status, different start date logic, and iKizmet offers additional configuration options like frozen member exclusions and data mapping, it is expected that membership counts between the two platforms will differ. This is not an error, it is a reflection of how each system is designed to count and categorize members.
