How to Use
The Goals by Store page gives you a multi-location view of how each of your studios is tracking against monthly targets across attendance, membership, revenue, and retention. Here's how to get the most out of it:
1. Set Your View The View toggle is only available when in All Sites view. Use it to switch between:
- Individual: Each location's goals displayed separately, ideal for comparing performance across studios.
- Total: All locations combined into a single aggregate view, useful for assessing overall chain performance.
2. Select Your Month Use the Date selector to navigate to a specific month. The calendar is limited to a full month view; custom date ranges within a month are not available.
3. Identify Priorities at a Glance Use the two callout sections at the top of the page to quickly focus your attention:
- Closest to Completion: The two goals most likely to be met by end of month. A small push here could close them out.
- Least Likely to Succeed: The two goals at greatest risk of falling short. Use these to identify which locations or metrics need the most urgent attention.
4. Understand the Numbers For each goal, you'll see three key values side by side:
- Current: Units achieved month-to-date.
- Forecast: A predictive value of where the goal will land by end of month, based on current pace. This is calculated independently of the goal value you set. Learn more: Goal Forecasting.
- Goal: The total units your location is aiming to hit by end of month.
Use the Wheel visualization next to each goal to quickly see how current progress and forecast compare at a glance.
5. Review Goals by Category Goals are organized into four categories. Use each to monitor the areas most relevant to your business objectives:
- Attendance Goals: Track total visits, class attendance, new vs. returning clients, and first bookings.
- Membership Goals: Track active members and new member signups month-to-date.
- Revenue Goals: Track gross and net revenue, membership revenue, and retail sales. Note that gross/net membership revenue can be verified in the Membership Revenue module on your dashboard, and gross/net revenue in the Total Revenue module.
- Retention Goals: Track intro offers sold, intros retained, and new profiles created.
6. Export or Upload Goals Use the icons at the top of the page to manage goal data:
- Download: Export all available goals to a file for reporting or record-keeping.
- Upload: Import goals in bulk directly into iKizmet's goal tracking.
7. Edit Goals if Needed If you have the Modify Goals permission, you can edit any goal directly from this page. Note that any change made by one user will update the goal for all users who have access to goal tracking; coordinate with your team before making edits.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's the difference between the Individual and Total view, and when should I use each?
A: The Individual view displays each location's goals separately, making it easy to compare performance across studios and identify which locations are on track or falling behind. The Total view combines all locations into one aggregate view, which is more useful for assessing overall chain performance against a single set of targets. Note that the View toggle is only available when you are in All Sites view.
Q: If I edit a goal, will it affect what other users see?
A: Yes. Unlike the Goals by Staff page, any goal change made on the Goals by Store page updates for all users who have access to goal tracking; not just the person making the edit. Make sure any changes are intentional and coordinated with your team before saving.
Q: What's the difference between New Members and New Clients in the goals categories?
A: These track different things. New Clients (under Attendance Goals) counts first-time visitors; client IDs that have never had a visit associated with them. New Members (under Membership Goals) counts first-time membership agreement purchases; client IDs that have never had a membership agreement associated with them. A new client who purchases a membership in the same month would be counted in both.
